Laurie Wright 
1956 - 2012

Laurie Ann Wright, 56, of Windsor, CO passed away August 18, 2012 after battling cancer. She was born to Robert L. Wright Jr. and Camille Ewing Wright Temple on March 21, 1956 in Salt Lake City, UT.

Laurie Ann was a fighter. On October 11, 2003 she was rushed to the hospital with a fatal brain injury and was given a 7% chance of survival. After surviving two brain operations she remained healthy until two months before she passed away. She used this experience to remind people not to sweat the little things. Laurie Ann was an optimist. She woke every morning and sang while she cooked breakfast. She liked to make people laugh and loved to talk with everyone in sight. She was a loving single mother who worked as a real estate agent and loan officer to support herself and her son. She was able to see her son graduate from Fort Collins High School in May 2011 and continue his education at Colorado State University on a full-ride scholarship for strength of character.

Laurie Ann is survived by her son, Jaron Andrew Wright; sisters, Kathleen Wright Thomas and Nicole Temple; niece, Kesia Cutlip; and various brothers; sisters; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Julie and Meaghan Wright. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
