When Brent Kroescher Holbrook was born on 11 May 1956, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, his father, Robert Benson Holbrook, was 38 and his mother, Marjorie Ruth Kroescher, was 38. He died on 7 December 1974, in his hometown, at the age of 18, and was buried in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.

Brent was two years younger than I was and lived a short 18 years. My memories of him revolve around family. I am sure we spent hours playing pool and ping pong in our basement and running the "trains - Diesel & Dinkie" in the wash room. We would swing in our backyard, play shuffleboard and hopscotch on the driveway and ride our sting ray bikes up and down the street. I am also confident that we rode the Flexi-Flyer from the top of Stringham Avenue down the hill in our front yard and laughed all the way! Brent had a great smile and beautiful blue eyes. I made him a red, white and blue hairpin lace afghan in his teenage years. I am so grateful to know that because of Jesus Christ, I will see him again
