Wendell was on the wrestling and football teams for Highland High school, wearing jersey #60 positioned at left tackle. He spent many hours working on the stage crew for almost all events held in the HHS auditorium; Everything from assemblies to evening performances and special events. He received a scholarship at the University of Utah recognizing his audio technician skills developed at HHS and the Lagoon Opera house. Wendell was married and had 5 boys. He worked for Hercules Aerospace for most of his career.
